The OPRF girls soccer team advanced out of its own regional by downing area-rival Trinity 4-1 on Friday.

MacKenzie Kula put the Huskies (16-7-2) on the board in the first five minutes of action. Tasia Race, Emily Gullo and Lizzie Lehman added three more goals for OPRF, who were set to take on Lyons Township in the semifinal of the Lyons Sectional last night (after deadline). A victory over the Lions would likely set the Huskies up against Downers Grove South for the sectional title on Thursday (7 p.m.). Earlier in the season, OPRF lost to Downers South 1-0. The Huskies will try and break a five-year string of losing in the sectional championship.
