Well, neither Colt site plan is particularly appealing, given the likely increase in traffic on Harlem, the indifferent architecture (can contemporary architects design anything besides a glass box these days?), the cost to the taxpaying citizens of Oak Park, but if we must have one or other of these boondoggles, I suppose the apartment building would do less damage to the downtown.

Here’s an original thought-why not offer the citizens of Oak Park a tax break, too, instead of just the big developers?
