I applaud any ordinance that makes life more pleasant for those around us! Thus is the case with the Jan. 1, 2008 No-Smoking Ordinance that will go into effect in Illinois. I’d like to request that in concert with the No-Smoking Ordinance we enforce a No-Noseblowing in Public Eating Establishments Ordinance. How nice it would be to take a bite of the beautifully done Eggs Benedict on Sunday morning without someone next to you blowing snot. Somehow it just ruins one’s appetite. So here goes: Noseblowing in public, first offense $25; thereafter, $50. Using your table napkin and then leaving it in your plate for the staff to clean up, $100.
Yes, I believe this will make dining experiences for people everywhere much more pleasant!
