As Oak Park residents and parents of five children who all use thePark District of Oak Park facilities extensively for: AYSO soccer, Strikers soccer, OP youth baseball/softball, swimming, summer camps, and playgrounds, I would like to convey my full support for the park district plan for the green space at the Field Center. The provision of an additional soccer field meets a critical need. We are very grateful for the support of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), and we urge state Senator Don Harmon to remove any obstacles to a prompt start to the planned improvements.
