I enjoyed reading Mr. Stanger’s stories [A DOOPer’s memories of Dear Old Oak Park, LifeLines, June 6], and I really appreciate the time he took to share his memories. Maybe he could solicit more from his peers and put out a collection?

His last comments, though, beg one small point of additional information since I don’t imagine he has been shopping for toys lately – Geppetto’s Toybox at Lake Street and Oak Park Avenue is owned by a couple who emulate Mr. Reyff’s commitment to toys and children pretty well. Hopefully, they’ll be around long enough for me to include them in my “Memories of Oak Park.”
