A screening of Love.Blood.Kryptonite, an independent film written and directed by an Oak Park and River Forest High School student, takes place tonight, Thursday, May 24 at the Highland Park Theatre, 445 Central Ave., at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The film was written and co-directed by OPRF senior Matt Mitchener, and produced by John Condne, who is also a film and television instructor at OPRF.
Screenings took place this week at the Pickwick Theater in Park Ridge on May 21 and at the Lake Theatre in Oak Park on May 22.
The gritty drama is about a high school student who sells drugs to support his young sister and sick mother. This film is Rated R.
