The idea about mandatory snow-shoveling is long overdue. Until it’s passed, perhaps we could set up a Hall of Shame for able-bodied people who don’t clear their sidewalks for the elderly, mail carriers, kids, and other delivery people. My first nominee is 921 Ontario, a unit with about 4 condo units, inhabited by people in the prime of their life. They always manage to clear their driveway so they can drive in and out, but they ignore their sidewalk. Before it was converted to condos, the building was inhabited by drug dealers. The new inhabitants are much quieter but have a similar disregard for their neighbors.
