The Trinity bowling team scored a 4,980 to finish second at the Fenton Sectional Saturday and advance to the IHSA State Girls Bowling tournament to be held at Cherry Bowl Lanes in Rockford this weekend.
The Blazers were led by Nicole Alvarez, who placed third overall with 1,125 pins.
Allison Mazurek finished with 1,045 pins, while Christina Roch garnered 1,017 pins. Other contributors for Trinity included Natalie Mazzone (930), Christina Mazurek (442), and Vicki Whooper (421).
Fenton won the sectional with a total of 5,190. Trinity edged Leyden, who finished third with 4,931.
