On May 6, the Annual Arthritis Walk was held in Chicago. Bridget Boockmeier, 5 years old, from Oak Park, formed a team, Bad Medicine, and raised more than $8500 during this year’s walk. Bridget, who has had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis since she was three, had more than 70 friends and family show up in support for her. This year’s walk raised more than $124,000. All of the money raised helps the Arthritis Foundation fund research projects, raise awareness and promote public policy efforts for more than 70 million people, including Bridget, who are living with arthritis in the United States.
