Snowflake, a program for middle school students and elementary FLOW (Future Leaders of the World) members was held on Friday, April 28, at Percy Julian Middle School. Close to 100 students enjoyed performances by Healthworks Theatre, discussion groups led by adult supervisors, team-building games, pizza, and raffle prizes. Several local businesses donated items to be raffled off to the students attending. The In Touch committee of Oak Park District 97 would like to thank the following local businesses and organizations for their contributions to Snowflake: Barbara’s Bookstore, CAST at Julian Middle School, Classic Cinemas-Lake Theatre, Oak Park Great Harvest Bread Company, Oak Park Ben and Jerry’s Scoop Shop, PTO at Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School, PTO at Percy Julian Middle School, PTO at Lincoln Elementary School, Tasty Dog, Tri-Star Gymnastics.

A special thank you to the middle schools’ Parent-Teacher organizations (PTOs) for sponsoring the Healthworks Theatre performances and raffle prizes. We gratefully acknowledge the generous contributions from all of these businesses.
