Over half of all Roosevelt Middle School students who took the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) in January scored at least 500 on either the verbal or math portions of the exam. On May 3 those 59 students were honored at a program at Park Junior High School in LaGrange Park. The program was sponsored by the West Suburban Consortium for Academic Excellence, a group of 16 high-performing west suburban school districts.

Two Roosevelt students received high honors from the consortium, including Andrew Wang, for math and Rose Sloan for verbal as well as the composite score honor.
