Relay for Life

The First annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Oak Park/River Forest is in the planning stages to be held at Concordia University April 28-29.

Over 525 people on 35 teams have signed up to participate in this overnight walk, where people come together to celebrate cancer survivors and to honor those who have died from the disease. Teams have been formed from community members of Oak Park and River Forest as well as students and staff from Concordia University, Dominican University, Oak Park River Forest High School and Fenwick High School. There is still an opportunity to become a team member.

This Relay For Life event will fundraise over $50,000 for cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services. Ninety-four cents of every dollar raised goes directly towards services in the community.
