Year three, and the war in Iraq has become the reverse of the elephant in the room. Everyone is talking about it, complaining about the futility of our being there, lamenting the sad death toll on both sides … but, obviously, not enough is being done to halt the madness.
We must demand an exit strategy. Call your representatives. Join MoveOn.org and sign petitions. Keep praying … for our troops, but also for the courage to change the things we can. There should be millions in the streets of every major city.
We, the people, truly do have power. We must use it.
