The ISAT test, which was the focus of such concern over the weekend, plays a crucial role in the determination of such recognition as the “Bright A+ Award,” which the River Forest School District 90 received once again this year. The award is given out annually by the School Search education research and consulting firm, which also presents the Bright Red Apple Award. The A+ award signifies placement in the top five percent of all school districts in the state that administer the ISAT test.

“We’re thrilled we’re still one of the school districts that excels based on that criteria,” said Superintendent Marlene Kamm on Friday.
