The River Forest village board will host a presentation by four officials from area municipalities at a special session tonight starting at 7 p.m. in village hall’s Community Room. The public is cordially invited to attend the session, which is expected to take under two hours.

The presentation is the third and final presentation on the various perspectives of Home Rule. The board has already hosted presentations/forums on the legal background and history of Home Rule. Tonight’s session will feature a 50-minute presentation on the municipal perspective of Home Rule, followed by a question-and-answer period. Featured presenters will be Gregory Bielawski, the retired former village manager of Carol Stream; the city manager and mayor of Lake Forest, Robert Kiley and S. Michael Rummel; Hendy Vicenik, village president of Broadview; and Bruno Behrend, a data base consultant and public policy expert.
