Well, OPRF may be going to an automated phone answering service in February, but District 97 Oak Park elementary schools still have a live operator, as we deduced, when we called to ask the question and a person answered. Now they declined to answer our question as to whether Dist. 97 had an automated system, but we’re still marking them down as “live.”
District 90 River Forest elementary schools still have live phone operators answering calls. Not only did a live body answer the phone, but they then patched us through to District 90 Superintendent Marlene Kamm who reports the use of an automated phone service to deal with emergency notifications, but not attendance issues.
