A Community Dedication for Sojourner House, the facility at 324 N. Austin Blvd. in Oak Park that provides temporary shelter for people experiencing homelessness and seeking permanent housing, has been rescheduled. The dedication was initially to take place on Thursday, Sept. 5, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Officials with Housing Forward, the Maywood-based nonprofit that offers resources and support for people experiencing homelessness and that partnered with other organizations to open the house, said the dedication is now scheduled to take place on Sept. 12, 10:30 a.m. to noon.
