The Magic Tree is a cozy Oak Park children's bookstore. It was established in 1984 by co-owners Rose and Iris, two friends with a mutual love of books, as well as a passion for helping children learn and grow. Over many years, they have seen The Magic Tree blossom into a much-loved Oak Park destination. Children, parents, and teachers come from all over Illinois to visit and participate in special events. There are weekly storytimes, as well as special visits by authors and artists every month! Besides carrying the latest in award-winning children's books and bestsellers, The Magic Tree also features a wide selection of foreign language books, manga, young adult books, music, and fun accessories.
