I have been done with most of my shopping since just after Thanksgiving. The kids made salt dough ornaments to give to family and friends way back in November. This past week I have spent just a bit of time filling in gaps with carefully purchased things locally.
I like last minute shopping. I want more than anything to overspend, buy more things for stockings and stock up on last minute gifts. It takes some control. I have anxious conversations with myself, “No you don’t you have done enough shopping.” But I really like to GIVE.
Thank goodness for Alana Waters Piper who posted this sentiment today. I’m all in. I’m spending these last few days making an effort to pay it forward with acts of kindness. I’m going to GIVE kindness.
