An annual event not to be missed: tour five festive homes decorated for the 15th Annual OPRF Infant Welfare Society Holiday Housewalk and Market on Friday December 6 and Saturday, December 7, 2013.
Proceeds benefit the IWS Children's Clinic—a clinic that provides medical, dental and behavioral health care to over 3,200 children whose families cannot afford the costs of private care.
Here is the line-up:
The Holiday Housewalk tour begins at the River Forest Community Center and includes tours through private homes in Oak Park and River Forest that have been specially decorated for the holidays. The tours of the Holiday Housewalk homes will be held on Friday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and from Saturday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Don't miss the Jimenez Home in River Forest.
In addition to the tours of five homes, the Holiday Housewalk event also includes an exceptional holiday shopping experience at the Holiday Market, which will be held at the River Forest Community Center. More than 30 juried artisan vendors with "one of a kind" gifts will complete this two day event. The Market is also open on Friday, December 6, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Saturday, December 7 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
