Scaredy Squirrel at Magic Tree Bookstore

There is a special place in my family's heart for this cute and slightly neurotic squirrel. He's got such a fantastic personality and smile. My four year old just can't get enough of Scaredy Squirrel for bedtime reading. Luckily, my 3rd grader is still in love with adorable Scaredy too. He's provided us with some great family time. 

If you have kids or nieces or little ones hanging around in the right age range you are probably familiar with this book series. If you have slightly perused the kids area at The Book Table or been into Magic Tree in the past - chances are you have stumbled upon one of the books.  

It's worth it to open one of the Scaredy Squirrel books by Melanie Watt, take 5 minutes to read through and forgive yourself for your own Scaredy Squirrel tendencies. (I promise you'll smile and giggle a little).  

Just in time for Valentines Day, Magic Tree Bookstore started carrying Scaredy Squirrel puppets! He's just $15. I can't think of a better way to tell my son that I love him on Valentines Day then to be able to give him a little Scaredy Squirrel hug as we read along at night.  (and skip the candy this year)
