At an early age I learned a phrase in latin from my grandmother: "Semper ubi sub ubi." Translated as "Always where under where" literally. You can imagine this being quite a hoot for her. I can hear her laughing as if it were the funniest thing to teach us this phrase. Latin was important of course, and so was underwear!
Today though, in Oak Park, I am just left wondering where?
It's a simple question, where can you buy underwear in the Oak Park or River Forest area?
There are options out there, but it's really limited. Croix sells a seamless thong. Ananas sells Hanky Panky brand lace underwear in an assortment of colors. And they are cute. You can get boxers at the Gap, but not women's underwear at the Oak Park location. And the Old Navy in Oak Park doesn't carry underwear either.
If I wanted economical granny white undies my option is Walgreens. I could venture over to Kmart or Walmart in Forest Park, but I'm not interested. It's not that I am avoiding the big box, but those options all seem very boring.
I miss Baubo's presence in Forest Park truly. And with their absence, it seems to me that we have a bit of an underwear blight in our area.
So I ask you – where do you buy underwear? Since, you should always where underwear under there.
