New York Fashion week for Fall 2012 starts today. We Chicagoan’s do not have to succumb to dowdiness, just because it’s cold! Are you in dire need of a fashionable re-fresh of your cold weather accessories? I know the darned weather has been crazy - weird, making getting dressed more challenging. Check out what I have found to keep you looking adorable and cozy on the days where the temps do indeed drop:
Nothing says resort better than a woven handbag like this super cool satchel from Croix boutique in Oak Park: and its practically free, 60% off of original retail price of $58, I love a good deal. While you are visiting with lovely Miya, shop owner, try on the most stylish of bedazzled berets and caps in angora and wool felt, $28.
Next stop: Madison street, to Camille for a shot of fresh, fashionable knit gloves with metallic thread and sparkled beading. Don’t overlook the lovely infinity scarf, on sale for $22, or your chance to channel trapper chic with this quilted nylon & faux fur topper, a steal at $15.
Have some fun with colorful knitted caps & floral pins from Pretty Little Things, just down the block also on Madison; these cuties are only $5, and will brighten up a lapel or cap in an instant! A little Bling never hurt anybody; and I am seeing plenty of rose gold for Spring. Spruce up your wrist with a combo of Stella & Dot rose gold plated & crystal ‘rhea’ bangles, $69, and cheeky, hand woven cord - serpent ‘sidewinder’ bracelet, $34. Contact Vera to order: verachan13@gmail.com.
Overcoming a boring winter style rut can be tricky, but with these super cute options - we can celebrate a stylish spirit and warm body at the same time!

Even local shopping trips can be hard to squeeze into a busy schedule. Thanks for the inspiration Suze. I love my sidewinder bracelet. I hardly ever take it off.
