Missed my Tuesday stop over in Paris, so decided to try Dans Le Rue instead. Came with my husband and 10 year old, and was pleasantly surprised by how much was going on. My daughter loved the sidewalk drawing and dog parade, husband loved the crepes, and I loved the music. Vive le Oak Park!

Such a nice gathering and a lovely excuse to be outside with our four-legged best friends on a late summer afternoon. Thankfully, those of us without poodles or grandchildren felt comfortable too. Vive Art Dans La Rue!

So why aren't there Arts happenings in the Arts District? I'm glad that local vendors and artists were included in the Downtown Oak Park (high rent district) event, however. It's nice that Harrison Street wasn't entirely forgotten by the Village (although it usually is....)

What a great success for OP on a Tuesday. The crowd was large & steady throughout the day, with everyone smiling having fun. Thanks DTOP for inviting us vendors from "the Arts District" to your event. Another thanks to Scratch & Sniff & Sirius Cooks, & CarefulPeach for their donations to the participants of the Poodle Parade. Small towne Americana at its finest. See you next year!!!!

What a great event! So much fun my little one and her dog, Fluffy! Not a poodle, but fresh from the groomers to march in the parade! There were many fun activities and I'm glad this event was moved to a day separate from the Thursday Night Out schedule, so much easier to focus on the event! Particular thanks to the Careful Peach for the scarf and awesome treats!

Had a great time. Gotta admit I lied to my dog and told her she was a poodle but she bought it and she had just as much fun as me. Well attended, great weather and no flash mobs like Midnight Madness. What's not to like?

A big Thank You to Downtown Oak Park for hosting this fun event! I was fortunate to be one of the artists who participated. I enjoyed the entertainment and my dog, Siesta, enjoyed being part of the Poodle Parade.

Hi Denise! Just wanted to let you know that we got a shot of your sweet granddaughter and your pup helping us lead the parade. Feel free to check it out on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151534227247015.1073741827.120286252014&type=1&l=67be11b338

I miss the days of Midnight Madness and the fun Day in the Village. This event looks pretentious and boring.

I am very disappointed in the photos. Our 9 year-old granddaughter along with our poodle were asked by Careful Peach to lead the poodle parade right behind the can-can dancers. Where was a photo of her in her Parisian print dress and walking our black poodle? This was supposed to be a day of French-connected events and though other dogs were welcome, it was to be a poodle parade. Why wouldn't your photographer take a photo of a cute little girl and a beautiful purebred poodle?Very puzzling.
