In this week's Journal, Doug Deuchler, our theater critic, enthusiastically reviews the first half of Festival Theatre's Twelfth Night. After that the rains came. (Doug says that in 30 years of reviewing Festival's Austin Garden efforts that he has never had a rainout.)
Now comes word from Brad Bartels at Festival that the cast has yet to perform the entire play in three tries. They get through the first half and then the weather overwhelms. He is hopeful that the audience will see how Shakespeare concluded the play when Thursday night comes.
By the way, this version of Twelfth Night is set in a beach party movie theme.
