OPRF wrestler Sam Brooks will compete in freestyle at the 2011 FILA Cadet World Championships in Szombathely, Hungary in August.

Brooks, a state champ and runner-up finisher who will be a senior this fall, won titles at the 2011 FILA Cadet World Team Trials in both freestyle and Greco-Roman styles to qualify for the world championships.

As a sophomore, Brooks won a Class 3A State title at 160 pounds. He finished runner-up at 171 pounds back in February.
