Real estate firm RE/MAX in Chicago will bring its promotional hot air balloon to Oak Park May 31, and June 6, to visit the two public middle schools.

The balloon visits Chicago-area schools to showcase an interactive educational program. Students learn about various aspects of ballooning, history and scientific principles. Students also get a chance to actually walk inside the cool-aired, inflated balloon. The visit to Brooks Middle School, 325 S. Kenilworth, takes place at 9:20 a.m. for sixth graders and 10:30 a.m. for seventh graders. The Julian visit, 416 S. Ridgeland, takes place in the morning at 9:20, 10:10 and 11. The RE/MAX program is expected to visit about 50 Illinois schools this year.
