OPRF, FREE donation drive for Chicago homeless shelter

Donations accepted for OPRFHS F.R.E.E. (Females Reaching Educational Excellence) Collection for Teen Living Shelter in Chicago. Drop off: Ms. Gargano (Room 207) or Ms. Brown (Room 174). Donations are being accepted through Monday May 16.

Teen Living is a shelter for homeless Chicago teens. The organization also has an independent living program for 18-21 year olds. The following items are needed at the shelter:

  • New socks, underwear, bras, white t-shirts, sweatpants (for teenage male and females)
  • Packaged items for snack packs - such as chips, juice boxes, granola bars, beef jerky, etc.
  • New or used books, new (or gently used) school supplies, journals, diaries
  • New or used sports equipment
