The annual Empty Bowls Community Dinner is from 6-8 p.m. this Friday Feb. 25 at the Oak Park and River Forest High School, 201 N. Scoville, in the south cafeteria. Bowls made by student and local potters will be sold for $15 ($10 for children). Donations allow individuals to choose a handcrafted bowl and enjoy a diner of soup, bread and water. “Take home your bowl to remind you of all the bowls that are empty worldwide,” so says the school. Proceeds from the dinner benefit Oak Park PADS, the OPRF Food Pantry and Global Alliance for Africa.
