It wasn't exactly in the same style the famous soccer great Pelé executed in the film Victory back in 1981, but Dominican University midfielder Leo Elizalde's impressive bicycle kick goal helped his team grab a 2-1 victory over Milwaukee School of Engineering last week.

Elizalde's mid-air somersault boot earned him the Northern Athletics Conference Men's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week Award.

The junior knocked in the game-winner — his third of the season — just two minutes into the second overtime.

The victory improved the Stars' record to 13-2-0 overall and extended the program's perfect Northern Athletics Conference record to 8-0. The team has now won 60 straight conference matches dating back to 2006.

The Stars travel to area-rival Concordia Chicago on Oct. 25 for a 3 p.m. game.
