Khirey Floyd, who played alongside current New York Knicks guard Iman Shumpert at OPRF High School in 2008, was recently named Concordia Chicago's Athlete of the Week.
Floyd, a senior studying political science at the university, was named to the all-tournament team at the Concordia Invitational Tournament. He scored 44 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in two games. Against Concordia Nebraska, Floyd scored a career high 26 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field, including 6-of-7 from three-point range.
In the first 20 games of the season, the 6-foot-4 forward has averaged 11 points and four rebounds per game.
