I get it, Colbert Fan, but Jon Stewart is clearly the star of he Daily Show, as Carson was of his show, but both these guys were able to bring stuff out of people in a way that Colbert either cannot or simply does not care to.

Guests go on the Colbert Report with the advance knowledge that they are not there to be the star - he is. In most cases, they are there to push their newest book or movie, so just being on is publicity for them.

I find Colbert impossible. I've turned off his interviews with people like Malcolm Gladwell and Jeff Koons because Cobert's clowning made it impossible for these worthy interviewees to make a point. I felt the same way about Colbert's interview with Tavi -- he could not connect with her. FWIW, Tavi's cool dad, Steve, told me he thought Colbert was "great," though I honestly cannot imagine why.

Tavi did a great job. Amazing how poised she was -- and still had fun with the interview. Seemed like Colbert was more flustered than she was!

Fun interview. Tavi did a great job. And I'd love to read Stephen's "You're Not Wearing That." Do it! :)
