OPRF High School graduate Iman Shumpert (2008) will not be competing in the NBA’s Slam Dunk contest this weekend, according to ESPNNewYork.com.
The Knicks rookie has been hobbled by a knee injury that forced him out of Monday’s game against the New Jersey Nets. He is being replaced in the contest by Utah Jazz forward Jeremy Evans.
It was rumored that Shumpert and recent Knicks sensation Jeremy Lin were going to partner up in the contest.
ESPN reported Shumpert is officially listed as day to day by the Knicks.
