The Park District of Oak Park will receive an award at a benefit next month in recognition of more than three decades of support for Oak Park Festival Theatre.
The park district will be presented with the Marion Karczmar Award at the March 24 benefit, to be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Unity Temple, 875 Lake St., in Oak Park. Karczmar founded the professional theater company that performs William Shakespeare’s plays in 1975.
Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes inspired by the 1960s, and prizes will be awarded for best costumes. For ticket information, visit oakparkfestival.com.
