Here are a couple of items worth noting from the Village of Oak Park's email newsletter, including two job openings at village hall.

  • The Avenue garage will close temporarily this Sunday as Oak Park plans to install solar panels atop the structure. No one will be able to enter the garage from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., and North Boulevard just east of Oak Park Avenue will also be closed to traffic. If weather is unfavorable Sunday, the village plans to delay the project until Monday, Feb. 20.
  • Oak Park is seeking a manager and assistant manager to oversee its popular farmers market, which begins its 37th season on May 19. Click here to check out an application. The deadline to apply is March 9.
  • And finally, Oak Park Village Hall is closed on Monday, Feb. 20, for Presidents Day.
