OPRF Black Professionals Day Feb. 22

Oak Park and River Forest High School hosts its 12th annual Black Professionals Day on Wednesday Feb. 22. Students hear from business people, media professionals and other guest speakers during the morning to afternoon sessions. This year’s event is from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on campus, 201 N. Scoville. On Tuesday Feb. 21, the high school hosts its 17th annual National African-American Parent Involvement Dinner. The 6 to 8 p.m. event includes performances by students.

Sounds like a nice event. Good luck to those kids, who will surely gain valuable experience regarding professional behavior by examining the previous two comments.

On Wednesday, May 30, from 7-8:30 p.m., Oak Park River Forest High School's Parent Connection will host its first Black College Night, which will highlight the opportunities available for our students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
