An Oak Parker is reopening an Italian restaurant in Berwyn tomorrow, some 15 years after the original burned down.
Gigi Rovito is unveiling Capri Ristorante Thursday at 6615 W. Roosevelt Road, the former home of Wishbone Restaurant. Here’s a story we wrote about the new eatery back in October.
The restaurant will stay open seven days a week and offer both lunch and dinner, according to a press release from Fitzgerald’s Nightclub, which owns the property. Check out the full menu here.
"Our customers have been looking forward to a restaurant opening here since last May,” owner Bill FitzGerald said in the release. “Capri is going to be a great addition to the block — they have excellent Italian food. We're looking forward to having them provide food for the club down the road, too.”

I'm a Dino fan, Epic, but music on a website is never welcome. I understand they're trying to create atmosphere, but photos and good copy work fine for that. Music always seems intrusive.

Jeesus, I have to give their website an A for Annoying. I hope they know their food better than they know their web marketing. And I have to agree with the critics, the pricey Italian niche seems to be overfilled already. I'd love to take a look at their business plan.

To those complaining about the price: they are not too much more than Al's or The Olive Garden-they only seem to be a dollar or two higher. And sorry but sometimes some of us want to go to some thing a tad bit more class. I wish them the best of luck !

Who is this "we" that you speak of? We should be glad that another vacancy is filled.

Great. Just what we needed, because Oak Park does have a shortage of Italian restaurants.... (sarcasm off) Good to see businesses trying to open and succeed in this economy, but can we at least try to be a little more innovative.

It's great that another restaurant has come to the area. The article had a link to the menu, but it was for the Burr Ridge restaurant. If the menu is similarly priced - this will be the most expensive restaurant in the area. More than I can afford.

I've been to the other location several times and the food is fantastic. A great addition to the food scene in our area.

Will the space still be used for the entrance at the American Music Festival?
