The Riverside-Brookfield High School boys swim team won its first-ever sectional title Saturday at with 294 points, followed by sectional host Fenwick (253 points) and Oak Park and River Forest (231 points). As for the Friars, their impressive streak of 10 straight sectional titles came to an abrupt end courtesy of the upstart Bulldogs.

A great week for 1st District Cook County Board candidate Blake Sercye continued Saturday as Sercye easily won the endorsement of the Democratic Party of Oak Park (DPOP) at a hastily called endorsement session held Saturday morning at DPOP headquarters.
