Irmgard "Irma" Seidel, 88, of Forest Park, died on Dec. 31, 2010 at Meadowbrook Manor Nursing Home in La Grange. Born on Nov. 11, 1922 in Bolkendorf, Germany to Wilhelm and Anna Koppe, she married Walter Seidel in 1940.
Cliff J. Doerksen, 47, of Oak Park, died on Dec. 17, 2010. A contributing writer to the Chicago Reader and Time Out Chicago, he won the James Beard Foundation Award for best newspaper feature writing in 2010 for "The Real American Pie," a humorous piece on the history of mince pie.
Salvatore V. Ferrera, 77, of Oak Park, died on Dec. 7, 2010 after a long struggle with heart failure. Born in Chicago on April 11, 1933, the oldest child of Salvatore and Angela Ferrera, he was an Oak Park resident since 1971 and father of six OPRF High School graduates.
Barbara Jean Cameron, 67, of Las Cruces, N.M., died on Dec. 22, 2010. Born in Oak Park on April 11, 1943 to Samuel and Jean (Eccles) Guy, she was married to Bruce Cameron for 47 years. She moved from River Forest to Las Cruces in 1999, and enjoyed the warm weather and beautiful views.
Joyce Miley Mcdonald of Oak Park died on Nov. 22, 2010 at home with her family. A graduate of Rosary College (now Dominican University), she worked at the Chicago Board of Trade for more than 20 years.
Elaine Logan-Allen, 80, a resident of South Bend, Ind., and longtime resident of Oak Park, died on Dec. 15, 2010. Born in Roundup, Mont., on Feb. 18, 1930, to Tyner and Zae Allen, she was raised by her grandparents, Hubbard and Amy Allen in Roundup.
