Two teens robbed an Oak Park man in his backyard a week ago Tuesday night, but only got away with $12. The man was in his backyard on the 800 block of South Euclid Avenue just after 5:30 on Nov. 30 when the two boys approached him.

Oak Park police finally nabbed a retail thief last week — 16 years after his crime. Ireneo S. Rivera of Phoenix, Ariz., 44, was arrested by Oak Park police early on the morning of Nov. 28 on the 800 block of Sheridan Road in Winthrop Harbor after he was turned over to Oak Park police on a 1994 warrant for retail theft.
