River Forest police seized more than 100 items suspected of being drug contraband in an investigation that eventually led to an arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia and sale of novelty lighters. The crimes allegedly occurred out of a River Forest storefront.

Four offenders approached a victim walking northbound on the 1500 block of N. Austin on May 20 at 12:30 a.m., and one offender asked the victim for change. The victim continued walking when one of the offenders struck him in the back of the head with a hard object, causing the victim to drop his cell phone.
Three unknown offenders approached a victim on the 800 block of Home Ave. at 8:20 p.m. on May 11. Two of them robbed the victim at gunpoint, removing his briefcase, which contained miscellaneous items and $85 in cash.
