Two Chicago men were shot by occupants of a passing vehicle Monday afternoon in Austin near West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park. They were taken to John H. Stroger Hospital in Chicago and were determined to be in stable condition, police said.

An after-school armed robbery attempt near Oak Park and River Forest High School around 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, led to an investigation at the school the following day, which uncovered an unloaded BB gun hidden at the school, according to an email sent by Superintendent Steven Isoye.

Two charged in Oak Park burglary incident, police seeking third suspect

Oak Park police have charged two men in connection with a residential burglary that occurred in the 600 block of South Scoville Avenue on Monday. The incident also left a squad car heavily damaged when suspects fled after ramming their SUV into the cruiser of a responding officer, according to police.
Oak Park woman cited for serving alcohol to minors
An 18-year-old Oak Park woman was charged with "social hosting" an event at which alcohol was available to minors in the 600 block of N. Kenilworth Ave. around 11:30 p.m. on March 16.
