A Maywood woman told police a man and woman entered her vehicle as she was parked in the 1000 block of Garfield Street around 3 p.m., Feb. 3. The man was described as wearing a hat and plaid shirt with burgundy vest.
Oak Park police stopped a 17-year-old Chicago male juvenile, Jan. 27, in the 200 block of South Austin Boulevard and found him in possession of electronics and mail addressed to a residence in the 600 block of South Lombard Avenue. The residence was found to have been burglarized earlier.
A pizza delivery employee was held up at gunpoint around 10 p.m., Jan. 13, while making a delivery in the 500 block of North Humphrey Avenue. The victim told police an unknown male, approximately 15 years old, emerged from behind a building and displayed a handgun, demanding everything the victim had.
An Oak Park and River Forest High School student had to spend the night in the police lockup Thursday night after she was arrested for cyber bullying a classmate by allegedly posting harassing messages on the other girl's Facebook page. The victim had filed a complaint with the Oak Park police for a similar incident earlier in the year.
"The posts were of a harassing and proviking nature," said Oak Park Commander LaDon Reynolds.
River Forest police arrested a 25-year-old Lombard man in the parking lot of Jewel, 7525 Lake St. Store security observed him allegedly hiding three bottles of vodka totaling $116 and leaving the store around 4 p.m., Dec. 31.
Police arrested a 41-year-old man in the 1100 block of Clinton, the evening of Dec. 27, after a neighbor dispute in an alley got physical. Police said the man accused a neighbor of spitting on his car, which escalated into a verbal altercation.
