The Jerusalem Cafe, which opened Wednesday, May 18, promises to add an international flavor to the mix of Oak Park's hundred-plus list of restaurants and coffee shops. The cafe brings its family-owned charm and reasonably priced, made-from-scratch Mediterranean dishes to the Marion Street Mall.

Bike thefts are popular again, with a total of nine thefts or attempted thefts over four days. A total of six Chicago juveniles were arrested for bike theft on May 23. Four were arrested after taking two bikes from a back yard in the 500 block of South Harvey. Two more juveniles were caught stealing a bike from a yard in the 500 block of South East.
