This fall, the Park District of Oak Park will begin drafting master plans for improvements to Carroll and Andersen parks, the first two of 18 plans that will eventually be completed for parks village-wide.
Saturday night the Oak Park and River Forest softball team gave a graduation present to its families, friends, and classmates: The long pursued Class AA State championship. In one of the longest championship games in Illinois history, the Huskies defeated four-time State champion Moline 4-1 in 11 innings at Eastside Centre in East Peoria.

In response to your column of May 11 ("It's good vs. good, not good vs. evil"), you propose that the dialogue about abortion should focus on how both the "good" of life for pre-born children and the "good" of a woman's reproductive rights (as you have defined them) can "win."
