Louise M. Helwig (nee Stanke), 82, a lifelong resident of Oak Park and River Forest died on Jan. 7, 2013 at the Bethesda Home in Chicago. Born on April 23, 1930 in Oak Park to the late Albert C. and Elsie (nee Reich) Stanke, she was raised in River Forest and graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School in 1947.
John Patrick Delaney, 75, died at Northwestern Memorial Hospital on Nov. 28, 2012. Born in Havre, Mont., to Agnes and Ray Delaney, the family moved to Detroit, Mich. where he graduated from the University of Detroit High School.
Evelyn Mae Cahill, 61, a longtime resident of Oak Park, died at her home on Dec. 4, 2012. Born on July 3, 1951 in Cicero to Henry and Elizabeth Rybacki, she graduated from St. Dionysius Elementary and Morton East High School. She was employed with United Stationers until her retirement in 2009 and was a Teamster's Union steward.
Patricia Ruth Peyton Lane, 83, died peacefully on Dec. 2, 2012 in Fort Collins, Colo., from kidney failure. Born on Oct. 5, 1929 in Danville to Louis Weldon and Ruth Jeanette Meyer Peyton, she was married to Harold James Lane from Dec. 23, 1950 to Feb. 6, 1984. They lived in Chicago and in Oak Park.
Ralph F. DiFebo, 94, of Northlake, formerly of River Forest and Park Ridge, died on Dec. 5, 2012. Born on Nov. 2, 1918, he was a World War II veteran, past commander of the Ted Knusman Post 13, and a member of the Westside Real Estate board.
Charles Johnston Crump, 57, died on Nov. 29, 2012 at his Forest Park home after a struggle with cancer. Born on March 25, 1955 in St. Louis, Mo., he grew up in Winnetka. "Charlie" attended New Trier East High School, Knox College and the University of Arizona, where he graduated with a degree in landscape architecture.
