The 17-year-old Wisconsin girl who was found in an Oak Park apartment building in November died of accidental opiate intoxication, according to an autopsy report from the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
A 28-year-old man was found guilty, Jan. 11, of holding his parents hostage at gunpoint in their Oak Park home in 2010. During his appearance at the Maybrook courthouse, Judge Noreen Love found David Sitterly guilty of 18 counts related to the incident, according to the Cook County State's Attorney's press office.
Two men were charged Saturday in connection with the fatal shooting, Dec. 29, of an off-duty Chicago police officer, the Chicago Tribune reported. Bail was denied for Tyrone Clay, 29, and Edgardo Colon, 34, both of Chicago, during bond hearings Saturday.
