A woman told police she was robbed by an unknown man in his 20s with blonde-tipped dreadlocks in the 300 block of South Lombard Avenue around 5 p.m., March 14. Police said the man approached the victim and showed her the outline of a handgun underneath his shirt.
River Forest police said a woman was beaten, allegedly by her boyfriend, until she was bleeding from injuries to her head at Chicago and Lathrop avenues around 4 p.m., March 2. The victim was treated by River Forest paramedics but declined to go to the hospital.
