A former accounting manager for Rush Oak Park Hospital was charged with theft after she allegedly siphoned close to $300,000 from the hospital over six years, according to the Chicago Tribune and the hospital.
Two unknown women approached an Oak Park woman late in the day on Sept. 18 in a parking lot in the 200 block of Lake Street. They displayed a handgun, demanded the woman get inside her car and ordered her to drive them to her bank.
Forest Park police arrested a man early Monday morning and charged him with robbing and burglarizing three antique stores on Madison Street within the past three months. Oak Park police also charged Carl Griffin, 44, of Chicago, with a convenience store burglary on Aug. 11.
