Mildred "Mitzie" T. DeVilbiss, 83, a longtime Oak Park and Forest Park resident, died on Sept. 4, 2013. Born on April 6, 1930 in Quincy, she received her bachelor's degree from Quincy University in 1952 and went on to her master's in education from Chicago's Loyola University.
Mabel J. Hamann (nee Zeder), 99, of Schaumburg and formerly of Oak Park, died on Sept. 1, 2013. Born on June 2, 1914, she was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in River Forest and Oak Park's 19th Century Club.
Joseph W. Snyder, 51, died suddenly at his home in Carlsbad, Calif., on Sept. 3, 2013. Born in Chicago on Aug. 19, 1962, he played in the brass section of the Imperial Drum and Bugle Corps and the Chicago Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps.
Bradley J. Ipema, 48, of River Forest, died unexpectedly on Aug. 27, 2013, during a bicycling trip with friends in Michigan. A graduate of Oak Park and River Forest High School, he earned a B.A. degree from Calvin College and a J.D. degree from DePaul University.
Robert W. Lundy, 70, a longtime Oak Park and River Forest resident, died on Aug. 21, 2013 at his River Forest home. Born in Chicago on April 15, 1943 to Francis L. and Alice W. Lundy, he attended the Wilmette Public Schools, New Trier High School, Blackburn College in Carlinville, and the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.
