Maybe it was my ego, or a deep-rooted stubborn streak, or just plain ignorance, but I spend way too much time trying to figure out things on my own. This Don't-Ask-For-Help deficiency gene impacted all areas of my life from parenting to running my business, and everything else in between.
I had no idea the power and motivation and creativity that comes from being with a group of like-minded individuals and really digging into concepts, insights and practical tools that I could use, especially when it came to my day-to-day business world.
Then I discovered Founding Moms.
The Founding Moms was started by Jill Salzman, whom CNNMoney refers to as a "mommy mogul." She likes to describe her creation as "a collective of offline meet-ups and online resources where mom entrepreneurs exchange, connect and learn from one another." And it's really taken off! Founding Moms has groups meeting in 43 cities in nine countries around the world — with 8,000+ members.
And it gets even better.
On Monday, Oct. 6, Salzman is throwing her first all-day Founding Moms Conference at Lincoln Hall in Chicago. Bringing inspirational speakers and workshop facilitators together, she plans on re-energizing the mom entrepreneur community with top-notch business expert Christie Hefner and money maven Barbara Stanny. Workshops cover topics such as sales, marketing, pricing, leverage and so much more.
Take the time to get out from behind your computer, gather with other women and get ready to be inspired by experts in every field who will help you transform your business.
